Winter is melting away, and spring is finally making its grand entrance! Thursday, March 20th marks the Vernal Equinox, the official first day of spring, and we’re celebrating by preparing for one of Como’s most beloved seasonal traditions—the Spring Flower Show!
Opening this Friday, March 22, in the Sunken Garden, Part I of the Spring Flower Show will showcase a breathtaking arrangement of blooms in soft, elegant hues of lavender, light blue, pink, and peach. As you step into the Conservatory, you’ll be surrounded by a fresh, vibrant display of spring favorites, including:
🌷 Tulips in a dreamy mix of lavender, white, and pink
🌼 Pink daffodils bringing a cheerful glow
💜 Blue hyacinths filling the air with their signature sweet scent
💐 Purple crocus adding rich bursts of color
🌿 Delphinium, foxglove, and snapdragons completing the scene with delicate beauty
Right now, our dedicated horticulture team is busy planting and arranging each bloom, ensuring the Sunken Garden is picture-perfect for its grand unveiling this weekend. If you visit before Friday, you’ll catch a behind-the-scenes look at the transformation in progress!
Spring is a time of renewal, color, and beauty, and there’s no better place to embrace the season than at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll among the flowers, or simply an escape from the last traces of winter, the Spring Flower Show is the perfect way to welcome the new season.
