Tailored for All Ages: Our parties are designed to captivate guests of all ages, ensuring a wild and wonderful experience for everyone.

What’s Included:

Two-hour use of a themed birthday room, complete with tables, chairs, and vibrant decorations.
Background music to set the festive mood.
Individually packaged snacks and juice for all birthday guests.
Flexible come-and-go access to the party room, allowing exploration of the Zoo & Conservatory or uninterrupted celebration in the room.
Engaging 15-minute educational program led by a knowledgeable Como Zoo Educator.
Creative self-led activity: Wrap a special birthday present or decorate a heartfelt card for a beloved zoo animal.

Cost:

$250 for up to 15 people
$325 for 16-25 people
$370 for 26-35 people
$400 for 35-40 people (max)

(Children aged 12 months and under are complimentary with a paid adult.)

Days and Times:

Available for booking on Saturdays and Sundays, with a hiatus during the months of June through August.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your preferred date.
Parties must be booked at least two weeks in advance, with final guest count and full payment due one week before the event.

Hosting Birthday Parties at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

Food

We welcome guests to bring store-bought cake or cupcakes, and beverages to enjoy during their birthday party.
Como will provide individually packaged snacks and juice for all birthday guests.
No other food is permitted.
No alcohol or glass containers allowed.
Como will provide food-safe serving utensils.
Guests must bring their own plates, napkins, cups, candles, and safety lighter.
Guest must bring all items with them when they leave.
No refrigeration is available.
Cake and beverages should remain in the party room during the celebration.

Parking

• Parking may be challenging, so please plan ahead and communicate that with your party guests.

Decorations

• External decorations, including balloons, are prohibited due to time constraints and animal safety concerns.

Storage

• No storage is available for gifts, cake, beverages, or belongings before or after your party reservation. Please plan accordingly.
• If you leave the party room to go explore, you are welcome to leave belongings in the room, however the doors to the room will remain unlocked for your access, so please take all valuables with you if you venture out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am running late for my party? Can my party start time be changed?

• Due to time constraints and other party bookings, we are not able to shift the party start time if you are running late. You can notify us if you are running late by calling our front desk at 651-487-8201.

What if my guests are late?

• Since you have the party room reserved for 2 hours, guests can be let up to the room when they arrive any time during your room reservation.

What if I am not in the party room and I missed my educational program because we were out exploring?

• If you miss your educational program, we cannot reschedule it. To make sure you have the correct time of your program, we will include that information in the confirmation email and the information sheet you’ll receive upon your arrival.

Will there be animals brought to our party?

• There will be no animals brought to the party room, however, you’re welcome to visit any Zoo or Conservatory exhibit during your party time.

What else might be happening at Como during our party reservation time?

• Como has several free educational programs throughout the day. You can always check our website for what’s happening each day. The Blaze Sparky Show starts at 11:30 am or 2:30 pm. If you would like to attend a Blaze Sparky Show during your birthday party time, you are welcome to leave the room and come back to it afterward. Seating is limited so plan to get there early.
