Imagine starting your day with breakfast surrounded by the lush greenery of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. On Wednesday, November 18, we’re inviting guests to do just that.
Breakfast Under Glass & Behind the Scenes Tour begins with a plated breakfast in the North Garden. Settle in with coffee or tea, enjoy the beauty of the Conservatory, and take your time over a meal in a setting unlike any other.
After breakfast, the morning continues with a guided tour of spaces visitors rarely get to see. A member of Como’s Education staff will take you through the production greenhouses, where thousands of plants are growing for the upcoming Holiday Flower Show. You’ll also see off-exhibit collections of orchids, bromeliads, bonsai and ferns, then visit the Sunken Garden to enjoy the Fall Flower Show.
Along the way, you’ll learn how Como creates seven flower shows each year and how the greenhouses nurture plants for education programs and select City of Saint Paul gardens.
Breakfast includes brioche French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, a mini croissant and cantaloupe, with coffee or tea.
