Our 2’s program is designed to spark curiosity and appreciation for the natural world in children age 2 with their favorite grown-up. Each class includes art, independent playtime, group activities, story time, and live plant or animal encounters.
Cost: $15/child. For each child registered, one adult gets in free. $15/adult above that.
Hop to the zoo for this class on fancy frog and toad friends! Join us as we grow and move like frogs, sing a silly frog song and meet some live frogs and toads from the zoo. It will be “toad-ally” awesome!
Tuesday, June 2 9:30a-10:30a
Spots and Stripes
From striped zebras to dotted leaves, patterns are everywhere at the zoo and conservatory! We’ll learn about stripes and spots by playing Spots & Stripes Dress-up, singing songs, meeting live plants and animals and creating patterned friends to take home.
Tuesday, July 14 9:30a-10:30a
Feel like making some noise? Together we will bark like a sea lion, roar like a tiger, and howl like a wolf—the zoo is a noisy place. Get your ears ready as some of Como’s noisy friends will pop in for a visit!
Tuesday, August 11 9:30a-10:30a
The zoo and conservatory are full of texture! Touch and feel your way through this class as we explore bones, furs, feathers, fruits, leaves, and bark. Make a fuzzy friend and meet soft and spiny plants and animals.
Tuesday, September 22 9:30a-10:30a
1, 2, 3…Zoo!
One hedgehog, two lions, three giraffes – counting at the zoo is so much fun! Join us as we play, explore, and discover the magic of numbers. You can ‘count’ on a visit from some special animal visitors, too!
