Go Ape Weekend!

Get ready for a weekend of fun as we swing into Orangutan Caring Week with a celebration of all things ape at Como! Enjoy exciting activities including ape zookeeper talks, banana gardener talks, crafts, and games. Plus, Xcel Energy Minnesota will be here with tips to save on your electric bill!
Make a Difference – Recycle Your Old Cell Phone, iPod, and other Small Electronics! Bring your old cell phones and small devices to the collection box at the Visitor Center and help support gorilla conservation through Gorilla SAFE programs. Recycling electronics helps reduce the demand for coltan, a mineral mined in gorilla habitats in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
