Music Under Glass featuring Pat Donohue, Dan “Daddy Squeeze” Newton and Richard Kriehn

Music Under Glass invites guests to stroll through the tropical gardens at dusk, escaping the winter chill with live local music. These free concerts take place in the Sunken Garden, where fire code regulations prevent seating. The music is simulcast to other garden areas with more seating available. Beer and wine are available for purchase.
Dan “Daddy Squeeze” Newton teams up with Pat Donohue and Richard Kriehn (from A Prairie Home Companion’s Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band) for a night of fun and music!
Dan “Daddy Squeeze” Newton
After winning the Nebraska State Accordion Contest at the Czech Festival in Wilber in 1987, Dan “Daddy Squeeze” Newton moved to Minnesota and has been wowing Twin Cities music lovers ever since. Equally at home playing Celtic, Tex-Mex, Cajun, blues, jazz, Scandinavian, French musette, polka, and pop, Dan heads up a bunch of different groups, including the incomparable Cafe Accordion Orchestra
Pat Donohue
Grammy™-nominated Pat Donohue (guitar) is a native and resident of St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a National Fingerpicking Guitar Champion and an innovative songwriter, with several albums to his credit on Red House Records and Bluesky Records. His songs have been recorded by Chet Atkins, Suzy Bogguss, and Kenny Rogers
Richard Kriehn
When Richard Kriehn turned 10, his mom bought him a mandolin; at 19, he’d won the Buck White International Mandolin Contest. He went on to play with the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble and bluegrass group 1946. On the classical side, he has performed with numerous orchestras and was principal second violin for the Washington/Idaho Symphony.
