The SPIRE Sparky Show will run daily in the KSTP Amphitheater at Como Harbor.

For more than 65 years, “Sparky the Sea Lion” has been a beloved Minnesota tradition, teaching generations of children to care about seals and sea lions in the wild. As Como evolved, Sparky became a conservation ambassador, with a show that teaches visitors everything from the value of recycling to protecting marine mammals from plastic pollution.

In June of 2021, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory opened Como Harbor, a preeminent new seals and sea lions habitat. This fabulous addition in the heart of Como Zoo has modern updates to improve the comfort of visitors, expanded opportunities for people to engage with the eight seals and sea lions, and is a best in-class habitat for the care of the animals, including Sparky.
