Wildlife Rescue: Tales of Conservation Now Open!

An Interactive Outdoor Exhibit Celebrating the Comeback of Endangered Species.

We’re excited to share that a brand-new traveling exhibit has landed at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory—and it’s unlike anything we’ve hosted before!

“Wildlife Rescue: Tales of Conservation,” created by Little Ray’s Exhibitions, is now open and will be on display through Labor Day. This family-friendly outdoor exhibit features 12 life-sized, climbable animal sculptures, each representing a species that was once on the brink of extinction, and made a comeback thanks to conservation efforts.

From the black rhino to the elusive pangolin, the colorful and scientifically accurate sculptures are designed to ignite wonder, spark curiosity, and tell stories of hope and resilience. Each animal comes with an engaging sign that shares how science, conservation, and human compassion worked together to save these species, and how you can be part of the solution, too.

A Hands-On Way to Learn and Explore

This exhibit is made to be touched, climbed, and explored. Whether you’re looking for a fun family outing, a unique photo op, or a hands-on way to teach kids about wildlife, “Wildlife Rescue: Tales of Conservation” delivers.

Plus, the exhibit includes multilingual educational signage and blends art, play, and science in a way that makes conservation stories both accessible and memorable for all ages.

What You’ll See:

  • Cheetah – One of the fastest animals on Earth, now racing away from extinction.
  • Orangutan – Learn how rehabilitation centers are giving these gentle forest dwellers a second chance.
  • Panamanian Golden Frog – A tiny amphibian with a powerful story of survival.
  • Peregrine Falcon – Once nearly wiped out in North America, now soaring again thanks to human intervention.

And that’s just a glimpse! Each sculpture represents an animal whose survival story reminds us why conservation matters.

Visit Anytime – No Extra Cost

As always, admission to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is free, with a suggested donation. The Wildlife Rescue exhibit is included with your visit, making it an affordable way to spark wonder, learning, and meaningful conversations about protecting wildlife.

We invite you to come climb, learn, and be inspired by these incredible tales of conservation, right here at Como.

📅 On display now through Labor Day 2025
📍 Located throughout the Zoo grounds
