The METRO Green Line and connecting bus services make it easier than ever to visit the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory on transit.
Two Metro Transit bus routes provide direct service to the park:
Route 3 runs between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul and makes several stops on Horton Avenue between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Parkway. Buses run every 15 to 30 minutes Monday through Saturday and every 30 to 60 minutes on Sundays and holidays.
Route 83 is a new route that began operating in June 2014. The route runs between the Roseville Super Target and West Seventh Street in St. Paul, with service every 30 minutes. Green Line customers can transfer to and from Route 83 at the Lexington Parkway Station. Read more about Route 83 on Metro Transit’s Rider’s Almanac blog here.
The METRO Green Line runs between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul, largely along University Avenue. All buses and trains have room for bikes and strollers.
Bus and light-rail fares are $1.75 for adults ($2.25 during weekday rush hours) and 75 cents for children (ages 6 to 12) and seniors (65+). Children under 5 ride free. All fares are good for 2.5 hours and allow for transfers between buses and light-rail. Additional fare information can be found here.
Online trip planning assistance is available at metrotransit.org. Transit experts are also available to plan trips and can be reached 612-373-3333.
With all of these great new transportation options, we are looking forward to seeing even more visitors here at Como this summer!
